- Senior Thermo/Mechanical Engineer
Salary is dependent on experience
Working on a diverse range of complex projects as a Senior Thermo/Mechanical Engineer you will play a leading role in the design of high end Thermo mechanical products which are used in a range of different industries. This expanding team has 2 positions available both offering the opportunity to make a real difference on future products. Other responsibilities will include:
- Perform thermal and structural analysis on designs.
- Working on the design of leading edge mechanical components for electronic assemblies using SolidWorks and FEA analysis.
- Ensure the mechanical designs meet all quality and design criteria.
- Work closely with cross functional teams to ensure that designs are optimised.
- Work on all aspects of the development life cycle from capture through to support.
- Research, test and qualify thermal materials.
- Develop new thermo/mechanical testing qualification methods.
- Review new Thermo/Mechanical patents and keep up to date with the latest innovations within the sector.
For this role you will need:
- Experience of working on thermal and stress analysis within a hi-tech engineering field.
- Degree level qualified.
- Broad knowledge of various methods of manufacture such as casting, machining and extruding.
- Strong 3D CAD and FEA skills.
- A problem solver who is capable of working on a range of dynamic projects.
