- Embedded Software Manager – Aerospace (£65k)
Up to £65,000 dependant on experience
This Embedded Software Manager will be leading a team of 11 Software Engineers who develop the latest embedded software for the aerospace and power industry. Although this is a managerial position the successful Embedded Software Manager will play a very hands on role in developing real time embedded safety-critical firmware. We are looking for a highly experience engineer who is proficient in embedded C / C++ but who has also gained experience in managing a technical team.
This Embedded Software Manager will have some of the following skills / experience:
- Proven technical management experience
- Demonstrable experience in real time embedded systems
- Experience in developing firmware
- Proficient in a high level coding language (C, C++, Python etc.)
- Experience in liaising with external customers
- A good degree in an engineering or scientific discipline
- Aerospace / power industry experience (desirable)
For this role the ideal Embedded Software Manager will have aerospace, rail or power industry experience and will have had first-hand experience in being responsible for the development of a team as well as taking on new recruits. This role is a 50:50 split between the hands on development of embedded, aerospace products and the management of a small team of embedded software engineers.
