Cambridge
Working as a Senior Mechanical Engineer you will play a vital role in creating next generation technology for a company that has doubled in size in the last year due to increased success and innovation. In this key role you will work within a multi-disciplinary team to help create precision optical devices from concept through to launch. Your main responsibilities will include:
- Working on the design and development of core technology for next generation products.
- Integration and packaging of designs working closely with production and R&D teams.
- Analysis and test of precision micro-mechanical designs.
- Creating and developing ideas for new technology areas for the future.
- Liaising closely with various internal teams and suppliers.
- Being a senior figure within the design team providing guidance on a range of key projects.
For this role you will need:
- Experience of working as a Mechanical Design Engineer on complex hi-precision products.
- Ideally degree level qualified.
- Strong 3D CAD and FEA skills.
- Any exposure to working with optics would be desirable.
- An innovator who has the ability to work effectively in a cross functional development team.
