Based in Royston with regular global travel
Our client have begun searching for an expert Field Support Engineer to join their expanding service department. Working at various company sites and customers premises the successful Field Support Engineer will be tasked with maintaining a range of complex instrumentation used across the food/manufacturing industries. You will be a product specialist and will advise various international service teams on a range of complex problems working on hi-value automated machinery used in various different industries.
Responsibilities:
• Perform set-up, installation, repair and maintenance of equipment in the field.
• Provide customer training and project support as required.
• Document all activities and submit paperwork in a timely manner.
• Assess product performance based on field support data; recommending modifications or improvements where necessary.
Work closely with various internal service teams across the world.
• Seeks to provide technical support to customers and other service professionals as required.
Requirements:
• A strong field service background working on hi-value large scale production machinery. Any exposure to working in the food industry would be highly desirable.
• A strong mechanical and electrical fault finding background.
• International travel and irregular working hours will be required sometimes so flexibility is paramount.
