- Senior Mechanical Design Engineer
This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join an expanding, multi-national, hi-tech engineering company, specialising in products for the defence and aviation markets. Working on a diverse range of complex electronic products you will take responsibility for providing mechanical design expertise on a range of new and existing projects. Other responsibilities will include:
- Providing a technical lead on selected projects.
- Designing small and medium sized mechanisms and structures.
- Taking a key position on mechanical engineering principles eg materials selection, assembly techniques and manufacturing processes.
- Liaise with customers and suppliers.
- Designing and developing innovative mechanical solutions to meet customer requirements.
- Strong 3D CAD modelling skills.
- HND or degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience in designing small and medium sized mechanisms and structures.
- Any experience of working in the defence industry would be desirable.
