C++ Software Engineer – Team lead (£65k)

£55-65K

Due to continued global success, a Team Lead C++ Software Engineer is required to join a market leading, networking and graphics focussed, Technology Company. This Team Lead C++ Software Engineering position will be managing a team of 7 engineers developing mobile, desktop and web applications across multiple software platforms and technologies.  The company’s existing products are used by millions of users across the globe and by some of the most renowned companies. They are now expanding into many new exciting markets. 

Key responsibilities:
  • Line Management of a team of 7 engineers
  • Project management, liaising with key stakeholders to track workload, coordinating the team and managing expectations
  • Mentor and develop the engineers
  • Steer the technical direction of the projects
  • Help out with the coding (C++) when needed
Required Skills:
  • Previous team lead experience within commercial software teams (Essential)
  • Software Engineering Background (Preferably C++)
  • Familiar with Agile methodologies (i.e. Scrum)
  • Commercial experience of the full software lifecycle
  • The ability to communicate well and work closely with clients
  • A good technical degree (or equivalent experience)
Desirables:

As well as the above, if you have experience with any of the following then we’d like to hear about it!
  • Previous experience of network programming or graphics technology
  • Experience of cross-platform development
