Life at Enterprise
If only it were possible to describe a typical day…………..but each day varies according to the clients we are working with, the candidates we are talking to and the vacancies we are working on. We constantly look at our “pipeline” to ensure that we have enough business for tomorrow as well as today, and tend to work at speed, multitasking everything as we go.
The office starts to fill up from about 8.15 onwards, and discussions / hints as to whose turn it is to make the teas and coffees start about 9 o’clock.
At lunch time you will find several of us in the gym or doing exercise classes, or in the shops as we are well located for both.
The teams generally know what they need to do and where they are going, but there is always a mentor on hand if you lose your way or are new to recruitment. Sometimes the office is very quiet and everyone is just focussed on what they are doing, then minutes later it can be really noisy as everyone is on the phone, but it's a very supportive environment where it is fun and enjoyable to work.
The commission scheme is very generous so everyone is incentivised and well rewarded.
We have cake competitions where we judge a colleague’s cake based on flavour, difficulty, and appearance (see our Blog for the latest cakes), and when we hit targets we down tools for an inter team game challenge. We also go out on curry nights, and trips throughout Europe in the summer and winter.
We’ve recently adopted the local Hospice of St Francis as our charity of choice, and we are hoping to support this through social events and tougher challenges in the autumn such as mud runs.
