We are looking for two C++ Software Engineers to work on a complex system taking data from hardware in real time, with numerically intensive algorithms running on parallel processors.  As well as writing the back end software in C++ on Linux, the Software Engineers will also be responsible for working on the front end in Java on Windows.  The hiring Manager is happy to consider those with expertise in either C++ or Java who are willing to pick up the other language.  They can also teach you how to work with parallel processors if that isn’t in your current skillset.

Salary: £30-55k

The company are well known for developing their staff and have a program for employees to work towards chartered engineer status.

C++ Software Engineer essential skills:
  • C++ or Java
  • Linux or Windows expertise
  • At least one toolset such as Eclipse, Netbeans or Visual Studio
C++ Software Engineer desirable skills:
  • Multi-threaded or parallel processing
  • Matlab
  • Qt
  • Agile
