- Compliance and Regulatory Engineer
Due to growth in both UK and international markets we are looking for a Compliance and Regulatory Engineer to join an expanding design organisation who are responsible for a vast range of hi-tech electronic products. This is a new position for the company and they need an engineer who can advise and take responsibility for all product compliance and legislation to ensure the growing range of products comply with legal and regulatory standards. Other responsibilities will include:
- Work closely with design teams to establish the relevant safety standards for the UK and international markets, identify any areas of risk and ensure designs are legally compliant.
- Being the main point of contact within the business for all areas of product compliance, which may include, product safety, EMC, EMI, RoHS, REACH and transportation.
- Manage and coordinate compliance plans and applications for new models with OEM suppliers and external test agencies.
- Maintain product files for certification.
- Provide general compliance and regulatory support to all departments within the business.
For this role you will need:
- A background of working as a compliance and regulatory engineer within an engineering business.
- A strong understanding of UK and international consumer product legislation.
- A good technical understanding of products.
- A strong communicator who has the ability to liaise with engineers at all levels.
