- Production Leader
We are looking for Production Leader to join a successful company based in the rugby area, you will be able to hit the ground running and utilise your experience of leading a manufacturing cell and ensuring delivery times and agreed KPI targets are met. You will have the ability to lead a team in all aspects of behaviour and standards and ensure the cell adhere to company procedures.
The key requirements of a Production Leader are to lead, encourage and develop staff, through driving and maintaining high standards whilst creating an environment of trust and respect. Other responsibilities will include…
- Ensure work is carried out in a safe manner at all times and that the relevant risk assessments are fully understood by the whole team and all the control measures are adhered to. Ensure that any incidents or near misses are reported accurately and in a timely manner. Ensure ergonomic risk assessments are performed to the agreed schedule.
- Ensure required builds are planned/scheduled to meet the demands of both the production plan and any engineering/project demand.
- Ensure appropriate training, through use of MG-P’s, is planned and provided to support flexibility without impacting quality. Also take responsibility for ensuring new staff are trained against valid MG-P’s.
- Act as a central point of contact between cell and other Operations staff for a quick resolution of faults/problems/issues
- Work with other cell leaders/production management across the full value stream to ensure best practice.
Required experience…
- Previous experience of leading a team all aspects of behaviour, standards and adherence to company procedures
- Must demonstrate good people skills, through identifying individual needs and skills.
- Develop and harvest a positive and harmonious environment within the team.
- Come from an engineering/manufacturing background.
Possess a technical qualification or have sufficient, relevant experience to meet the responsibilities
