We are looking for a Quality Manager with a passion for working with technical products whilst implementing robust procedures for the future. This role will play a key role in driving and growing a small Quality engineering team whilst also taking responsibility for internal Health and Safety. This role would suit either a seasoned Quality Manager or a Quality Engineer who has the drive and ability to be able to progress to the next stage in their career. The company have a great reputation of providing innovative low volume high value equipment which is used by multiple scientific and engineering organisation across the world. Responsibilities will include:
- Ensuring all systems and procedures are robust enough to ensure all products leaving the site meet customer requirements.
- Ensure the company is kept up to date with all Quality and Health and safety legislation.
- Maintain the company ISO standards.
- Lead supplier audits, reporting, analysing and taking actions on results.
- Driving and leading a small team (1 direct report) with a view to growing this in the future.
- To audit the company against its own procedures and process instructions.
For this role you will need:
- A background of working as a Quality Engineer or Manager within a hi-tech engineering environment.
- A strong systems/procedure ability and a technical/engineering background.
- Driven, self-starter who can pick up any part of QA work and have a vision for what is needed and what structure/team is needed to get it done.
- Someone who can handle the whole Quality function not just one part of the process.
