Applications Engineer

Cambridge- with regular international travel

In this unique role you will get the opportunity to work with customers and internal R&D teams on a diverse product range which is truly cutting edge. The company are a leading player within the inkjet field with a global presence and a reputation for pushing the boundaries of technology and innovation. This role will focus on developing relationships with various ink organisations whilst assisting customers on integrating technology into commercially viable products. Although the role is part of a larger group this position sits within a small team who have the ability to significantly influence future areas of growth for the company. Some other responsibilities will include:

-              Managing regional ink partners and OEM relationships.

-              Working closely on technical elements of the ink process with sales, marketing and R&D teams.


-              Helping to identify future regional trends related to inks and then manage potential risks and benefits.

-              Deliver training to support partners and OEMs.

The position will require global travel which typically will be around once a month but this could vary dependant on projects. There will be extensive training provided as before you work with customers you will need to have an in depth understanding of the product range. The first few months will therefore be more lab based working closely with other engineers.

For this role you will need:

-              A degree in a scientific or engineering subject.  

-              Any academic or industry experience of working with ink, inkjet or a similar hi-tech fields.

-              The ability to work closely with and develop long term relationships with customers.

-              Flexibility to travel.
