As a result of growth and a new product development, there is a requirement for 2 x Engineering Logistics Co-ordinators to join a hi-tech engineering company based in Tring. The role will focus on management of external resources, planning and the logistical co-ordination of customers’ orders and meeting their requirements, you will also play a part managing shipping agencies and negotiating rates for shipping lines.
As an Engineering Logistics Co-ordinator you will undertake a very varied and interesting role in support of an electro-mechanical product range in a manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Create and manage sales orders with the company ERP system.
- Liaise with logistical shipping companies to ensure orders are shipped in accordance with instructions, perform end of contract reviews and ensure all documentation is complete.
- Backfill Shipping and logistics controller when and if required.
- Work closely with planners, warehouse team, sales team and head office to ensure machines are ready for dispatch as per contractual dates and that any delays are recognized and eliminated in advance.
Engineering Logistics Co-ordinator Requirements:
• Proven Customer facing experience in a similar role within an Engineering organisation.
• communication with international customers and colleagues.
• Previous experience using ERP/ERP/APS Systems within a manufacturing environment.
