This is an excellent job opportunity to join this very well established, niche market performer. They design and make a broad range of technically advanced electronic components that are used in over 40 countries across the world.
The Applications Engineer job will be very diverse and will enable you to get involved in developing hardware and software for new products whilst also being involved in testing and getting a real feel for customer requirements and potential internal product improvements.
- Advising customers throughout the product selection process
- Support field sales and inside dales on technical aspects
- Define customised solutions with the R&D department
The job calls for a rounded set of skills. You should ideally be qualified to Degree level in Electrical or Electronic Engineering. It is essentially a sales orientated role with hands on electronic design skills, so you will need to be an excellent and confident communicator, as you will be dealing with R+D, sales, field service and of course the customer. Previous applications experience in a similar environment would be well received.
