Description
Laser Systems Engineer

The laser technology market is buoyant and this role will give you the chance to join an organisation who design and manufacture their own unique range of high power lasers. Working within a technology group you will get the chance to work alongside a talented team of scientists helping to develop lasers which can be used in a multitude of different industries.

The ideal candidate will have a practical hands on approach to product development combined with an excellent academic understanding of physics related to lasers and optical components. Some of the day to day responsibilities will include:

-          Devising and implementing tests to evaluate lasers and optical components.


-          Evaluating optical components for enhancing high power fiber lasers.


-          Working closely with internal teams including manufacturing to diagnose problems and transfer designs to production.

For the role we are looking for:


-          A strong degree or PhD in Physics or a related field.


-          Experience in academia or industry of working on the principles of laser technology.


-          Test and measurement experience of working with laser or optics related products.
