Southampton
Working as a Process Engineer you will have access to help shape manufacturing processes for a hi-tech electronics organisation whose products can be used in a multitude of applications worldwide. This role will appeal to an engineer with the ability to look beyond current processes and create manufacturing improvements with a strong emphasis on lean manufacturing techniques. Some of the day to day responsibilities will include:
Driving continuous improvement in manufacturing helping to identify and develop processes to ensure predictability and reliability.
Provide day to day support to production lines with a vision of recommending and improving projects to agreed objectives.
Support the transfer of new processes and new products from development to manufacture.
Work closely with internal teams to ensure design for manufacture and design for test are embedded in the NPI process.
Take ownership of a range of manufacturing projects.
Implement measures to establish process capability and control variation.
For this role we are looking for:
A strong manufacturing background with a background of taking a lead role in process management.
Degree or HNC level qualified in electronics or a related engineering field.
A self-motivated driven engineer who has the ability to drive and influence projects at all levels.
Six sigma or lean manufacturing experience is desirable.
