- Engineering Facilities Manager
Southampton
We are looking for a Facilities Manager to work for a hi-tech engineering organisation who are currently going through a phase of expansion at their state of the art facility in Southampton. The company design and manufacture on site and therefore the facilities are made up of office space, clean room labs, manufacturing facilities and conference rooms so candidates will need to have a strong background of working within the technical engineering field.
Taking charge of a small team you will play a key role in strategic planning and improving all services and facilities processes going forward with a view to ensuring compliance with all Health and Safety and environmental legislation. Some more general duties will include:
- Taking control of subcontractors and facilities services to centralize the service across the business. This will include working and forming relationships with various suppliers.
- Manage and oversee all installations and refurbishments across the site.
- Work closely with H&S management and other engineers to develop and implement procedures.
- Take ownership of capital equipment projects across the site.
For this role we are looking for:
- A strong Facilities Management background working within a hi-tech engineering manufacturing organisation.
- The ability to lead from the front and manage a small team of engineers with experience of working with other engineers at a strategic level.
- Ideally experience of managing capital equipment projects.
- Strong understanding of H&S procedures.
- We need a candidate who is local to the Southampton area as you will be required to go to the site out of hours in the event of an emergency.
