We are looking for a Manufacturing Engineering Manager to play a pivotal part in the development of a hi-tech life science. The company cover a wide range of innovative products and are looking for a Manufacturing Engineering Manager where you will be a key member of the operations management team and will work closely with manufacturing, quality and development teams. You will play a key role in the future of this highly complex low-volume product.
This role will provide a link between product development, manufacturing and operation teams to ensure products are designed with assembly and manufacturing in mind.
Other responsibilities will include:
- Managing a team of engineers, providing training and direction.
- Planning and executing new product introduction processes.
- Drive process and product improvement through lean techniques.
- Responsible for some hands on engineering on certain product ranges.
Education, Skills and Experience:
- Degree educated in an appropriate engineering discipline.
- Ideally 10 years engineering experience, 2 of which in management in a high value manufacturing operation.
- Continuous improvement experience
