Description
Product Engineer

Working closely with in-house manufacturing and R&D teams you will take responsibility as Product Engineer in supporting the introduction of new products as part of a fast paced NPI process. The company designs and manufactures complex hi-tech electronic products which are used in a multitude of scientific fields across the world. The position would be an ideal fit for an engineer who has experience of driving manufacturing processes and investigating failures with the ability to influence and liaise with technical teams at all levels. Other responsibilities will include:
  • Identify production failures and then track and report on corrective actions to ensure the root cause is identified and resolved.
  • Lead technical discussions during the introduction of new products and processes from R&D, whilst providing continuous improvement of the current platforms.
  • Identify and lead corrective actions to realise improvements in process yield or reduced cost.
  • Take direct involvement in product lifecycle from concept through to volume manufacturing.
 

Product Engineer Requirements:
  • Strong Product Engineering background within a hi-tech electronics or optics organisation.
  • Ideally a degree in a relevant engineering field.
  • The ability to influence and work with cross functional engineering teams.
  • Analogue and digital control electronics experience would be desirable.
