Description
Product Manager

This role offers a unique mix of combining technical knowledge with a strategic focus on identifying new opportunities and areas of expansion for the business. The product range is hi-value low volume machinery used by customers across the world, so the ideal background would be someone who has had exposure of working with capital equipment.

In this vital position you will manage existing and future product portfolios and also develop strategies to obtain market feedback from customers for a diverse product range, this will help mould future projects by relaying your findings to development teams and other engineers within the business. You will also use your findings to uncover opportunities within the market looking at what companies would want and look for in the future. 

The company is hugely ambitious with a strong reputation for investing heavily into their staff and promoting internally so this role will give you a great platform to gain great exposure to a diverse product range within a growing sector.

Other responsibilities may include:
  • Develop new processes for identifying project opportunities.
  • Product innovation - Identify new opportunities.
  • Rely information and research in regards to market requirements and development plans.
  • Communicate from NPI teams to the sales and marketing teams ensuring product releases and updates are effective and timely.
  • Input ideas for improvements to existing designs.
  • Working closely with the sales team and identify gaps in the market.
Skills and knowledge required:
  • Proven experience delivering physical products to market.
  • A strong technical background with experience of working closely with cross functional teams of engineers and customers.
  • A background of working with hi-value low volume capital equipment.
  • Commercial awareness
  • Experienced in Product Management or similar technical / commercial role.
  • Experience working within a technically challenging, fast paced environment.
  • Degree in business / commercial related discipline.
