This unique position will play a pivotal role in leading the research and development of new applications for a company who are set to revolutionise the biotechnology market. Sitting at board level you will lead a team of scientists and engineers helping to turn ideas into reality. A proven background of taking scientific products to market is needed to drive forward a range of exciting projects.
The company have a hugely talented workforce, but they need senior management guidance on technology and product development from a strategic point of view helping to establish a roadmap for current and future commercial requirements.
Although in numbers the company are relatively small, they have some ambitious growth plans with major backing working out of a state-of-the-art facility in Oxford with all the tools needed to facilitate major growth. The flagship product has created huge interest from life science, healthcare and biotech sectors with huge potential for future development and growth.
For this role we are looking for:
- A strong degree or PhD in a scientific subject- preferably Chemistry, Biochemistry or Biology.
- A proven management background with proven experience of developing teams of scientists and engineers.
- Experience of taking technical scientific products from concept through to launch.
- A strong strategic focus with experience of working at board level.
