Mechanical Design Engineer


We are currently seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer as well as a Principal Design Engineer.


As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will work on a range of complex, precision medical devices for an organisation who are Europe’s leading supplier in their field. They pride themselves on being able to meet their customers requirements with their extensive product range of over 800 devices, covering a variety of medical fields. With challenge, comes reward and this position will offer you the chance to gain exposure to projects from concept to production within a family culture that will allow for training and progression.

The products are manufactured on site at their state-of-the-art production facility so you will get involved in everything from the CAD design to prototype assembly and testing as well as leading the final design validation process on your assigned projects. You will also get the chance to see your designs materialise into a final product.

As a Principal Engineer you will also be responsible for supporting junior members of the team with design reviews and helping out with any design problems on complex products.


Mechanical Design Engineer Requirements:
  • Formal education in Mechanical Design – degree is desirable
  • Experience designing high precision mechanisms in a medium volume environment.
  • Experience working with medical devices.
  • SolidWorks.
  • Experience of injection moulded components.
  • Motor design experience.
