Description
Lead electronics design role for an experienced Hardware Design Engineer to join a mixed discipline R&D team of 9.  As well as hands on design, you will be responsible for leading and mentoring the 2 other hardware engineers plus any contractors or external design houses should additional temporary resource be required.

The Senior Hardware Design Engineer will work on multiple concurrent projects, usually a mix of new design projects and customer specific developments.  Most projects are digital but there are also issues to contend with around high voltage electronics, so you’ll need to know your way around analogue circuits and power supplies too.  Other challenges involve working with manufacturing (on site) to find solutions for obsolete parts, EMC issues and weird and wonderful customer challenges from around the globe!!!

Senior Hardware Design Engineer essential requirements
  • Degree or equivalent in Electronic Engineering
  • Analogue Hardware design – power supplies, converters, inputs, test and measurement
  • PCB schematic and layout
  • Digital Hardware Design, micro-controllers
Senior Hardware Design Engineer desirable skills
