Description
Test Engineer - New Product (Compliance-EMC)

£30k - £38k

In this unique role you will work on testing and evaluating brand new products for a company who are at the forefront of technology designing and manufacturing products used in a multitude of industries across the world. The role is truly diverse and will work on electronic, electrical, mechanical and software principles and would be an ideal fit for an engineer who enjoys thinking outside the box.

It requires a mind-set that enjoys creating unique ways to identify potential problems and then having the technical ability to test and resolve these issues working closely with cross functional teams of engineers. This is not a role for a test engineer who enjoys repetition and following set procedures!

In this role you will be working with brand new technology at all stages of the development lifecycle and will need to test products to parameters that best suit their function and environment. With the diversity of the role you will need to be an all-rounder with an appreciation of different engineering disciplines and a methodical approach to test and fault finding.


The position is likely to take several years to truly understand all of the parameters of the product range, so we need an engineer who is constantly looking to evolve and learn new skills.

Requirements:
  • Ideally be degree qualified
  • Understanding of compliance and EMC testing
  • A good understanding of multiple engineering disciplines
  • Practical experience in an equivalent role.
  • Methodical approach to testing and fault finding
  • Understand the integration and test of electro-mechanical products.
  • Experiance with EMC testing
