- Description
- We are looking for an experienced software test engineer who has progressed (or would like to progress) into a management role. Due to the nature of the product, you will spend time outdoors overseeing product test activities so this is an ideal job for someone who doesn’t want to be stuck behind a desk all day!
The Software Test Lead will be responsible for the day to day management of the validation team (2) and the organisation and control of the validation process. As such, you will ensure visibility, traceability and control of the validation process to deliver high-quality systems. You will need to work closely with the engineering and project teams to ensure that the products can be tested and meet customer’s expectations.
Software Test Lead responsibilities
- Completing product / system validation.
- Creating validation plans.
- Managing test sets, regression testing and creating tests for newly identified bugs.
- Ensuring product test coverage
- Manage the validation team (line management).
- Managing test / validation process & reporting (Jira).
- Ensure testing is conducted in a safe & compliant manner
- Responsible for routine maintenance and care of test equipment (daily / weekly checks).
- Responsibility for the test environment / test site / test rigs etc.
- Software Testing background
- Experience in a wide range of white box and black box testing.
- Experience in building and maintaining test frameworks.
- Good breadth of knowledge in all stages of the software development lifecycle.
- Team leading experience
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Jira
- Safety critical systems
