Working on the development of future technologies you will help to turn ideas into reality working on a wide range of research projects.  These ideas will then help to transfer technology into R&D programmes for a product range which is used globally.

Working within a small team made up of Physicists, Chemists and Modelling and simulation engineers you will work in partnership with internal R&D and manufacturing teams and external partners across the world. The research and findings will then play a pivotal role in transferring technology investigations to help the company stay at the forefront of innovation within several different areas of technology.

The role will combine a mix of theory and practical lab development work where innovation is always encouraged. You will also need to have the ability to be able to understand and overcome industry related problems such as time to market and cost constraints. The company have great links with a range of academic and professional organisations across the world so you may occasionally need to travel to visit external partners.

The technology range is broad and focusses mainly around the printing and inkjet field and some of the typical technology areas you may be involved with investigating could be: MEMS devices and fabrication, thin film technology, piezo materials, actuator technology and advanced fluidics.

For this role we are looking for:

-              A PhD or Masters degree in Physics, Chemistry or Materials Science.

-              The ability to work on a complex range of different technical investigations and then provide practical solutions to internal teams of engineers.

-              A strong communicator who is comfortable presenting cross functional technical information with internal and external teams.

The company can offer an excellent chance to work with some leading engineers and scientists across the world with the option to advance into more senior leadership roles across the business. They also offer an excellent benefits package including a bonus scheme and flexible benefits options.
