Do you have previous experience of planning manufacturing activities within a high-tech engineering environment? Our client is looking for a commercially astute and pragmatic Planner, the ideal candidate will be someone with strong experience in MRP database usage and management to join their Manufacturing Department at an exciting and very crucial time for them as they expand operations to meet growing demand. This role could also suit someone more junior with experience looking to progress their career as a planner.
They will also consider someone who is keen to start a career in planning and experience in Planning is not essential. They should however have an interest in Planning as their preferred career path, keen to learn and must be a competent user of Excel.
The successful Planner will be responsible for:
• Facilitating new product introductions to full integration into the manufacturing process ensuring on time market delivery without shortages/stoppages.
• Understanding forward looking sales forecasts, creating a planned workload within the ERP system to meet that forecast across a range of company products.
• Assist with the review and capture of the Planning Teams processes and procedures in line with company ISO system.
Requirements:
• Previous experience working within a technical environment within a high-tech engineering/manufacturing company.
• Good knowledge of manufacturing processes.
• Some experience in materials management and production scheduling in a manufacturing environment.
• Experienced in the use of MRP systems and database usage/management.
• Provide support to manufacturing/purchasing and other departments as and when necessary to support the overall manufacturing process.
