Opportunity for a Principal Hardware Engineer with an interest in secure communications to play a pivotal role in the research and development of next generation cryptographic solutions to meet the requirements of complex systems across military markets. We are looking for a Principal Hardware Engineer with experience of providing technical direction across multiple projects, as well as a strong technical background in electronics design.
As a Principal Hardware Engineer, you will provide technical direction for the team, exerting influence across projects so that optimal architecture and design are selected. Your responsibilities will incorporate designing and developing market leading connectivity options, utilising connections from Wi-Fi to satellite to maintain connections in challenging environments.
Suitable Principal Hardware Engineers will also have a strong technical background with experience in high-speed digital designs, analogue and switched-mode power supply design, schematic capture, and multi-layer PCBs. Desirable skills include design and test for EMC, as well as experience of using DOORS.
