Description
Senior Control Engineer

Cambridge

Working on the development of new products used in a multitude of different niche fields, you will play a significant role in finding efficient ways to solve hi-tech problems working with teams of cross functional engineers and customers.

Your technology partners will be based mainly around micro-manufacturing and semiconductor vendors developing technology for products with a diverse range of applications. This role will allow you to define and mould your technical ambitions with the opportunity to make a significant contribution to a range of revolutionary products.

Due to the nature of the projects you will be required to travel to customer sites mainly in Asia. You will get notice in advance of this and it will typically be around 20%. For up to 2 weeks at a time.

Other responsibilities will include:

Develop and improve the test equipment and procedures to confirm the performance of the mechanics and control.

Work with mechanical, control, electronics, firmware and software engineers to build on the proprietary SMA control algorithms that the company has developed to meet the needs of the market.

Interface with partners and customers to understand their requirements and to deliver the assistance needed to use the product.

For this pivotal role you will need:

A top degree ideally in Electronics/mechanical/Software from a leading University.

Proven industry experience of developing technology and running customer projects.

Ideally proficient software skills in C and/or MATLAB (desirable).

Experience of developing test equipment (desirable).
