This role will combine hands on test development work with managing a small team of Systems Engineers. The main selling point of the position is really the diversity of the products you will be working with where from as test perspective there will be plenty of variety and challenges!
Your team will be made up on 4 systems engineers with varied backgrounds, so you would take on managerial responsibility for the personal development of the team combining this with day to day testing responsibilities.
You will also be responsible for the development and commissioning of test equipment and work closely with development project teams, it will entail working with manufacturing and ensuring design for manufacture for test issues are considered.
You will need a good knowledge of electronics and strong experience in test engineering in a production environment. You should also be able to demonstrate experience with development and management of test facilities. Knowledge of analogue and digital electronics, signal processing and RF techniques will also be beneficial.
Due to the nature of the work you would need full SC clearance as the product range can be used for a number of different applications.
For this role we need candidates to have strong LabVIEW skills with experience of leading teams of engineers within a test environment. The ideal background in terms of industry would be aerospace or defence but other industries will also be considered form outside of this field.
