Working on a diverse range of complex projects for a global leader in computing and electronic systems for a range of industries, as a buyer you will play an integral part delivering savings and added value through sourcing and procurement as well as supporting the supply chain team across the business.
Ideally you will come from an electronics manufacturing environment and have an understanding of components and the supply chain, they will also look at more junior candidates as well as experienced.
Responsibilities will include.
- Track material status to meet required dates.
- Work across the business to address supplier queries in a timely manner
- Responsible for supplier performance across assigned commodity / suppliers
- Establish strong working relationships with all key stakeholders (incl. support NPI / business reviews).
- Ensure all Supply Chain activities are aligned with the internal & external needs of the business.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
- Degree in Supply Chain Management; MCIPS (and/or suitable technical equivalent).
- Good negotiation skills.
- High level of competency in use of MRP and ERP system(s); preferably SAP.
- Proven track record in a related supply chain role procurement role.
- Key experience in Electro Mechanical procurement.
- Key Experience in Electronic component procurement.
- All round experience in Electronics and Electromechanical procurement.
