- Senior Project Manager- Lasers/Optics
Working with complex optics/laser devices this role will blend technical skills with project management, playing a vital part on a range of NPI projects. Collaboration with the R&D team will be key as you will be involved at an early stage of development helping to introduce new components whilst also managing external relationships.
The role would be an ideal fit for someone who previously has been in a technical design or physics related role who has then stepped into a project management position. Although the formal side of project management will be important the understanding of the technology will be the challenge.
The business is on a real journey and have carved a reputation of being a world leader within their niche field, with 2 design and manufacturing facilities in the UK. They are introducing key new products at a fast pace to customers across the world.
Although your involvement will be more at the development stage the company do everything onsite so you will also manage the smooth transfer of products into manufacturing.
Although a background of working with laser or optics/photonics technology would be highly desirable for this role we would also consider a background of working with hi-tech electro-mechanical products with a strong hardware/software and mechanical/physics overlap.
