Description
Laser Applications Engineer- New Technology

This unique role will combine a deep technical knowledge of lasers and optics with the ability to think quickly and work alongside R&D to develop and unearth new technology markets. Working in a hugely successful team interacting with R&D and Sales and marketing, you will work closely with customers from a wide range of different technical industries gaining a great understanding of complex laser and optics related technology.

It will be probably a 70% technical role with the rest having more of commercial focus. The key thing will be to combine a great knowledge of the fundamentals of laser technology with the ability to make commercial decision at speed.

The company have a huge order book and a great reputation of being able to solve the most complex issues that no other company can. They are well established and growing but of a size where you can still make a real difference without some of the red tape associated with larger tech businesses.

For this role we are looking for:

-          Ideally prior experience of working in an applications focussed role with a laser or optics business.
