Description
Opportunity to develop game changing capabilities in the fields of machine learning, artificial intelligence, information systems architecture and knowledge engineering, for a consultancy with customers in security, defence, space and aerospace.  Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team, you will make a real impact on projects through the innovative application of your technical skills.  Tasks will vary from small feasibility studies to collaborations with international manufacturers, but mainly UK government and defence.

This is a customer facing role; in addition to technical analysis, research and software development, you will also be required to meet with customers to gather requirements, discuss solutions, specify research required and communicate information to other stakeholders. 

Currently fully remote, working environments can include office, lab and field trials with customers in Wiltshire and Hampshire.

Suitable candidates will ideally have a background in engineering, applied mathematics or physics.  And –
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to adapt to different audiences
  • Expertise in one of: Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine learning, Semantics, Knowledge engineering
  • Software engineering skills such as C, C++ or Python
As some work may be Defence related, applicants must be British (eligible for security clearance) and due to the highly technical nature of the work a history of high academic achievement is essential – mostly A grade A levels followed by an Engineering, Maths, Physics or similar degree and/or MSc /PhD.
