- Description
- We are looking for multiple Linux experts to join one of the world's largest storage providers who offer hardware and feature rich software to some of the best-known companies on the planet. Working remotely, you will be responsible for the planning, installation and configuration of Object Storage systems for clients around the world. This is very much a customer focused role and will include outlining solutions, providing guidance throughout the process and supporting pre-sales engineers with technical input when required.
Travel isn’t necessary BUT, is definitely available for those that enjoy it. Clients are based all around the world, so any language skills are a huge benefit.
We are looking for both Junior and Senior engineers so can be flexible in some requirements. Typical skills will include some of:
- Linux administration skills (essential)
- Networking, TCP/IP
- Virtualisation
- Network security – Firewalls, load balancers, iptables, NAT etc
- Internet services – DNS, E-mail, Web services etc
- Shell Programming, bash, python
- Storage and associated systems
- Physical, virtual or hybrid cloud environments
- Tools such as Chef, Puppet, Ansible, SaltStack, Cassandra
