Surrey- with hybrid working opportunities
This strategic role will define, lead and implement global Quality Assurance, EHS and Continuous improvement strategies for an expanding hi-tech engineering business. You will work with a wide range of technical products which are sold globally overseeing all Quality procedures at multiple sites.
You will build on strong foundations with a new QMS being used and a workforce who are open to change and keen to learn. Managing a globally distributed team you will need to be a strong leader with the ability to influence and instill processes across a business.
The role will ideally be based out of the Surrey facility will lots of flexibility with remote working. The mix could be 2 days in the office and 3 from home.
You will be given the freedom to make long term business changes without some of the red tape you would associate with larger engineering businesses.
Some of the day to day responsibilities will include:
- Contribute to the overall business strategy to achieve best in class quality excellence.
- Certification and maintenance of ISO9001 and 14001 standards whilst ensuring the effective management of regulatory and legislative changes.
- Work closely with the Global EHS Manager on EHS with a focus on product sustainability and operational excellence.
- Develop and deploy a structured approach to Continuous Improvement.
For this role we are looking for:
- A strategic Quality Management background with experience of working within hi-tech engineering products.
- A leader who thrives on problem solving challenges to understand the root cause of failures.
- A degree in an engineering field would be beneficial.
