- Description
- Are you fed up designing the next iteration of the same product? At this substantial technology consultancy, when a Senior Electronics Engineer gets bored of a product, they can move on to another venture with a different Project Manager working in a market or technology area that they find desirable. There is a continuous stream of challenging, interesting, brand new technology developments within this business and due to their size, the projects tend to be bigger and generally more interesting than most other consultancies. Engineers tend to stay here long term.
Although there will be client contact, that doesn’t have to include sales or business development activities – unless you want to. In which case there are also opportunities to move into a Technical Authority type role which is still hands on, but also responsible for bringing in new work.
In addition to paid work for clients, electronic engineers are able to work on internal projects for future technology areas and create demos for marketing purposes etc.
There is a great work life balance in the business, ask current employees why they like working there and the response is generally “I get to work on cool stuff and have fun doing it”.
They have a sensible approach to work from home, most electronic engineers work 50/50.
In terms of skillset, the requirements are pretty loose. Ideally they are looking for Senior Electronics Engineers with a good grasp of general electronic engineering fundamentals but not too specialist in any one area. Senior Electronic Engineers with a desire and ability to learn new things and grow into adjacent areas will be a good match.
The group expertise typically spans Digital, Analog, Power, RF, Antennas, Firmware and more.
