Worldwide leader, this company have a history of inventing new technology and their latest achievement offers some truly disruptive advancements in robotics.  The company are investing £5m into further R&D as they continue to break new ground which has created 3 new embedded software engineer positions.
The product has a multitude of different controllers and single board computers incorporating bare metal systems and real time operating systems.  The Manager is keen to hear from embedded software engineers with a mix of skills or those who have focused on purely bare metal or applications with an OS. 
Upcoming projects involve real time camera based applications, motor control, sensors, embedded Linux BSP, high power switching, sonar, navigation systems, serial interfaces and more.
Embedded Software Engineer essential requirements
  • Embedded C or C++
Embedded Software Engineer desirable skills
  • Motor control
  • Low level bus/drivers such as SPI, I2C, CAN
  • Robotics, feedback control
  • Sensors
  • RTOS, Embedded Linux, ROS (Robot Operating System), Ubuntu, Windows IoT, OSE, FreeRTOS
  • Jira, Confluence, DevOps tools
  • Autonomous Vehicles
  • Board Support Packages
  • TI Chipsets
