- X-Ray Physicist
Working on future technology projects this role will sit within a small but expanding research team exploring cutting edge X-Ray technology. Working in conjunction with external universities, research partners and internal engineering teams you will play a vital role in the next generation of technology used by this expanding engineering organisation.
There are 3 main areas of focus….
-Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Electron optics design- working with both electric and magnetic lenses.
-Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â High Vacuum design
-Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Understanding the physics of X-Ray Generation.
The role is diverse, and you will be involved in research and practical applications based out of the head office where all design and manufacturing is done on site. This will give you the chance to see your ideas turn into reality whilst working closely with cross functional teams of engineers.
The company are evolving the product range and growing at pace so there will be lots of opportunities for long term progression routes within the business.
For this role we are looking for…
A strong academic background within Physics with a background of working with technology in 2 or more of the following areas: Electron optics design- high vacuum design- X-Ray Generation.
COMSOL or similar packages to use in the design of new components would also be beneficial.
We will consider fresh PhD graduates or experienced industry professionals.
