Description
3 month contract with possible extension to design automated test systems using Java for a specific project (outside IR35) involving communications based software.  We are looking for an experienced Software Engineer with Java skills and expertise in developing test automation frameworks.

The role can be carried out remotely from within the UK (office is located in Edinburgh) but applicants must be British citizens as it requires some basic background checks.

Contract Software Test Automation Engineer essential requirements
  • 3 or more years commercial software experience  
  • Java & scripting
  • Test Development & test automation frameworks
  • Linux
  • Eligible for basic security checks (British resident)
Contract Software Test Automation Engineer desirable skills
  • Networking, TCP/IP, encryption, packet inspection
  • Tools like Jira, Confluence, Gitlab, Bitbucket
  • Python, C/C++
