- Join a software development department who are very traditional in their approach. Lightweight on process, no need for heavy reams of documentation to get things done, no agile. More akin to a peer review culture, they rely on their software engineers being actively competent and demonstrating strong communication and collaboration.
The team currently need an additional Software Engineer who can hit the ground running with C++, either Linux or Windows – the role will involve working on both.
Often collaborating with Hardware engineers, the product you’ll predominantly work on (in a nutshell) involves taking raw image data from satellite communications, making sense of that data and presenting it in a format suitable for the customers purpose. Sometimes that may be on in house systems (Windows), sometimes customer provided hardware (hence the flexibility to work on Linux or windows).
