R&D company focusing on data compression technologies based on the use of AI and parallel processing for data, video etc, applicable in multiple markets are seeking a QA Automation Software Test Engineer to be responsible to help define new test plans and test automation strategies
You will be working within a highly Agile team (mixture of scrum and kanban) you will be responsible for contributing to the hands-on automation and manual test techniques. QA Software Test Engineer essential requirements
- 1+ years proven testing software experience manual and automated
- Experience in some of the following
- Python
- Golang
- Appium
- Browser and HTML 5 testing
- Modern applications like Docker, K8s, Consul, Packer
- C/C++
- Use of at least 1 BDD testing tool (eg spock, Cucumber)
- Use of standard Agile techniques (eg Scrum, Kanban etc,) and tools (eg Jira)
- Continuous integration environments covering: source code repositories; version control; build creation; unit, integration and system tests.
QA Software Test Engineer desirable skills
- Exposure to pytest, google test framework, Junit, JMeter
- Understanding of video and common compression features, particularly video – lossy, lossless, quality metrics, colour spaces.
- Understanding of broadcast video techniques and technology – HD-SDI & 3G-SDI Over IP
- Has worked with AWS cloud solutions
- Device deployment and testing using Android studio.
- Knowledge of Embedded systems.
