- Description
- Bespoke cloud application development, mostly Python or C#, Angular or whichever latest technology is best for the job. This company follow a strategic “optioneering” method to analyse all possible alternatives to discover the best way of doing things. As the projects are always greenfield in nature, Software Developers are never restrained by any legacy code or out of date systems.
Applications tend to have something engineering, maths or scientific behind them with an element of machine learning (MLOps) and data science so there are always interesting problems for Software Developers to solve. For this reason, Software Developers with STEM degrees/background are desirable.
The team are mostly working from home with a visit to the office 1-2 days per week or more if preferred.
Cloud Software Developer essential requirements:
- Strong skills in C# or Python
- Azure or AWS
- Building web applications using modern API and SSR or CSR UI frameworks (e.g. Flask, Express, ASP.NET, Spring along with React, Angular, Razor/Blazor or similar)
- An interest in engineering or scientific applications
- Strong communication skills (you may need to speak with clients)
Cloud Software Developer desirable skills:
- Containerisation
- Azure DevOps
- MLops
- Data Science
- STEM degree – Physics, Maths, Computer Science
- Customer facing experience
- JavaScript, TypeScript
