- Senior Mechanical Engineer - Space
A senior mechanical engineer role with significant avenues of progression, you will be joining a team striving to ensure the sustainability of long-term space projects. This small satellite and in-orbit manufacturing business collaborate with industry leaders on space-borne projects across Europe.
This role will see you work on projects from concept to launch, covering the entire project lifecycle. This is the ideal role for a senior engineer who has ambitions of a head role longer-term, as the company continue to expand across Europe. This company also offer a flexible working policy, with employee’s often in the office two days a week.
You will be supporting the development and qualification of their propulsion products and subsystems through the entire lifecycle, with a strong focus on structural and thermal analysis. You will be the expert on mechanical and thermal subject matters, working alongside a group of multi-disciplinary engineers.
Some key skills they are looking for
End-to-end project lifecycle experience using CAD, CREO or SolidWorks; strong thermal analysis knowledge is crucial. Someone who can manage the manufacturing supply chain and has a strong understanding of industry manufacturing processes. This person needs to have minimum five years’ experience, from a space background.
