Description

Product Quality Engineer

As a Product Quality Engineer, you will be a crucial point of contact for both internal and external stakeholders, driving quality performance across production and the supply chain. You will be joining a world leader in laser technology, based out of a state of the art design and manufacturing facility. With the company looking to expand it’s portfolio globally, there are significant avenues of progression for candidates who seek to progress their careers longer-term.

Reporting to the Product Quality Manager, you will be improving quality performance both internally and with customers; analyzing market failures, leading investigations and understanding root causes. This company strives to deliver continuous improvement practices, therefore, regular audits and risk assessment will be required to increase the performance of their range of technology.

Part of a larger group, the business are expanding rapidly, with great great training and progression opportunities on offer for candidates with the right technical skills and attitude. You will be joining the company during an exciting phase of growth and will be working with bleeding-edge products that are used on a global scale.

This will be the ideal role for someone who has experience in product quality improvement, both in  theory and practice. They must be able to interpret field failures and provide internal solutions, often leading cross-functional teams. Core quality tools like 8D, Gauge, R&R and MSA are essential. Any electronic/laser technology experience, knowledge of FMEA, SAP or ISO900 and a Six Sigma qualification would be seen as advantageous.

Qualifications:

  • HNC / HND / Degree level in a relevant area preferred (such as quality, manufacturing, engineering)
  • Quality Engineering / Six Sigma qualification advantageous
