- Project Data Specialist
An innovative technology organisation is seeking a Project Data Specialist to support the delivery of critical insights derived from complex sensor datasets. This opportunity is ideal for someone with a keen analytical mind who thrives on converting raw information into actionable intelligence for infrastructure projects on a global scale.
The Role:
The Project Data Specialist will work at the intersection of advanced sensor technologies and infrastructure management. The position focuses on assessing and validating large volumes of data gathered through Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR), LiDAR, and imaging systems installed on specialist vehicles.
Tasks will include refining and interpreting datasets, reviewing statistical outputs, and preparing clear, professional reports tailored to client needs. In addition, the role involves careful scrutiny of location accuracy and ensuring that project outcomes meet defined specifications and standards. Anomalies and unusual features within the data will be identified and investigated, supporting the delivery of reliable, high-quality insights to major transport and infrastructure clients worldwide.
Key Responsibilities:
• Analyse and validate complex sensor datasets to support infrastructure monitoring.
• Prepare data-driven reports and visual outputs to communicate findings.
• Conduct investigations into data anomalies and variations.
• Verify and enhance spatial accuracy using positional measurement technologies.
• Ensure project deliverables adhere to quality expectations and technical specifications.
• Collaborate closely with internal teams to maintain project timelines and deliver client-focused solutions.
Ideal Candidate:
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Familiarity with data visualisation and reporting tools such as Excel, Tableau, or Power BI.
• Basic proficiency in Python or MATLAB is desirable but not essential.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
• Strong communication skills, with an ability to translate technical data into accessible insights.
• Experience working with sensor data, particularly GPR or LiDAR, is advantageous.
This is a rare opportunity to join a team at the cutting edge of infrastructure analytics, working on challenging and meaningful projects with long-term impact. Full training will be provided to support development within the role.
