- Fibre Optics Specialist – Maintenance & Technical Support
We are seeking a practical, hands-on Fibre Optics Specialist to ensure fibre-processing machines operate at peak performance. In this role, you’ll be responsible for repairing, maintaining, and fine-tuning highly specialised equipment with delicate components that require precision, patience, and a steady hand.
Based in a state-of-the-art facility, we design and manufacture cutting-edge fibre optic technology used across a wide range of high-tech industries.
What you’ll do:- Diagnose faults and carry out repairs on complex fibre optics machinery
- Maintain and fine-tune equipment to optimise performance
- Contribute to process improvements, helping enhance both machinery and workflow
- Work with a high level of autonomy and take initiative in resolving technical challenges
- Proven, hands-on experience repairing and maintaining complex machinery
- Strong understanding of fibre optics technology and systems
- Background in mechanical, electromechanical, or optical engineering, through a formal degree or substantial practical experience
- Ability to work independently while maintaining attention to detail
