- Description
- Ideal role for a software engineer with an engineering mindset, who likes variety, happy to work in a language that suits the project and will enjoy troubleshooting sensor-based hardware such as laser based milling machines.
Ideally, we are looking for someone with a few years’ experience in the development of software to control or automate equipment or machinery. Software involving sensors, motion control, optical or similar scientific application would be of particular interest.
Software can be developed using a variety of languages including Python, C/C++, VB, C#, Matlab or proprietary languages depending on the project.
A Physics PhD or Electronics degree could be useful but not essential, any experience in motors, signal processing, image processing, data analysis or user interface design would be advantageous.
