- Small, very successful company developing high value, low volume products primarily for research establishments in addition to other markets. The products make heavy use of high tech sensors and cameras so any prior knowledge here will be a huge benefit.
They work a 34 hour week over 4 days, mainly office based but some opportunities to work from home. They provide medical cover the immediate family in addition to life assurance and a pension scheme.
This position will suit a Senior Electronic Design Engineer with a knack for innovation (they have won a number of awards) and over 10 years of experience. You will lead the design and development of cutting-edge electronic hardware and systems, taking them from concept to manufacturing.
It’s a varied role with elements of digital design, analogue, FPGA, high voltage power and systems level specification. You will work alongside 2 other electronics engineers, Physicists and Mechanical Engineers.
Senior Electronics Engineer essential skills:- Extensive digital electronic design, including FPGA (Xilinx preferred)
- Proficiency in analog electronic design
- Skillful in PCB layout, preferably using Altium
- Solid knowledge of design for EMC – you keep electromagnetic chaos at bay.
- Basic knowledge of Optics – you see the light!
- Understanding of high voltage circuits – you're electrifying!
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision – you're a self-starter.
- Proficiency in interpreting mechanical drawings – you understand the nuts and bolts.
