Description
Design Quality Assurance Manager

An exceptional opportunity has arisen for an experienced Design Quality Assurance professional to join a leading aerospace innovator working at the forefront of next-generation technology. This organisation designs and manufactures cutting-edge electrical technology, offering a rare environment where you can see products evolve from initial concept through to final delivery and entry into service.

You will be part of the journey at every stage, influencing how ideas become certified, flight-ready solutions used across global aviation. In this role, you will take responsibility for ensuring that the company’s design activities remain fully compliant with regulatory requirements, including oversight of Part 21J and Part 21O.

Working closely with engineering, research and technology teams, you will strengthen design assurance, embed robust processes, and promote a culture of continuous improvement. The position also plays a central part in guiding new product introduction and helping teams adopt methodologies such as APQP to improve quality and industrialisation outcomes.

You will bring proven experience within aerospace engineering, design, or quality, alongside strong knowledge of Part 21J regulations and the principles of airworthiness. Your background will include working with engineering processes, audit practices, and problem-solving tools, supported by excellent communication skills and the confidence to influence teams at every level.

This is a role well suited to someone who enjoys shaping processes, engaging with regulators, and working cross-functionally to raise standards.

For this role, we are looking for:
  • Background in Aerospace
  • Strong knowledge of UK CAA/EASA Part 21J & O airworthiness processes
  • Knowledge of ISO9001, ISO19011 or AS9100
  • Hands-on APQP experience
